It uses an infrared sensor to provide touch-free operation; multiple lobular sensing fields allow both high and low target detection for maximum reliability, but it also comes with a courtesy flush override button if manual use is required. It is a single flush unit, and uses 1.6 gpf.

For added convenience, it also features a 3-second flush delay. The sensor is powered by 4 "AA" batteries (included), which provide up to 6 years of power before they need changed.
